Aalborg University's Master's program in Electronic Systems is aimed at bachelor students interested in machine learning, signal processing, wireless communication and automation and control.
The foundation of the Master's program is the overarching topics: machine learning and signal processing, control and automation, and communication technology including radio systems.
You will learn about stochastic systems and signals, as well as their mathematical modeling, and how models can be applied in the analysis and design of complex interconnected/distributed systems. You will be taught methods for data acquisition and measurement, including principles and applications of physical sensors. You will gain knowledge of theories and methods for the design and implementation of resource-optimal real-time systems on embedded platforms, and you will gain experience in modeling and optimizing complex systems in relation to, for example, complex control, reliable communication, and advanced machine learning & signal processing.
As a specialist in Electronic Systems you will be able to make a difference in areas such as:
- New electronic hardware, such as antennas, filters, and amplifiers for improved communication in small terminals and embedded systems, with applications in new areas such as healthcare, Internet of Things, autonomous driving, etc.
- Intelligent electronics and systems whose overall performance and energy efficiency are improved through machine learning.
- Ultra-reliable communication for smart manufacturing, autonomous vehicles, and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).
- Process control for embedded systems (with machine intelligence), from electronic hardware to software.
- Systems with Artificial Intelligence for improved products, services, and living conditions.
