The Ministry of Education and Research has designated several clusters aimed at fostering collaboration between researchers and businesses to drive innovation in society. The Ministry of Education and Research and the Danish Board of Business Development jointly fund the cluster program "Innovation power: Danish clusters for knowledge and business 2021-2024". 13 national knowledge and business clusters have been designated as part of Denmark's new business and innovation promotion system. The core tasks and activities of the clusters are:
